Hepatitis (Spring 2010)

For the quarter beginning April 1, 2010, our topic is "Hepatitis".  While everyone is at risk for some form of Hepatitis, people with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) are at high risk for developing Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C because of their frequent involvement with high risk activities for acquiring blood borne pathogens. Similarly, substance abusers are at higher risk for Hepatitis because of the methods they use "to get high".
