Northern Arizona Children's Council (NACC)
The Northern Arizona Children's Council Children's Council provides a public forum and networking opportunity for people to learn about regional initiatives as well as provide feedback to the RBHA and local behavioral health providers on system strengths and improvement opportunities. NARBHA is seeking community participation in the Council's development.
Vision Statement
The Vision for the Northern Arizona Children's Council is to support partnerships among families and child-serving systems in northern Arizona to promote collaborative practice according to the Arizona Vision and 12 Principles*.
Participants
The Council is hosted by NARBHA and is open to all interested people, including family members, youth, system partners (DBHS, JPO, ADJC, CPS, DDD, ADE), and other community stakeholders and providers.
Frequency and Discussion Items
The Council meets on the 3rd Friday quarterly from 10-3:00. An orientation will be available from 9:30-10:00 prior to each meeting for new participants. Lunch will be provided at the NARBHA site and will be provided at select video sites starting in August. RSVP is required.
The meeting provides the opportunity to discuss the following agenda items:
Behavioral Health System Updates
- NARBHA will provide an update and seek feedback on major State and Regional public behavioral health system initiatives
Stakeholder Presentations and Announcements
- Presentations by community providers, family members, and system partners to inform council participants of regional opportunities and initiatives.
Review of Local and Regional Achievements
- Updates from Council participants on agency and community successes, accomplishments, and collaborations.
- Successes can also be submitted in writing to the NARBHA Children's Services Manager for review.
Barrier Resolution and Feedback Forum
- A process to resolve identified children's systems barriers** that cannot be resolved at their current level.
- System barriers and suggestions for system change can also be called in any time to NARBHA Customer Services at 1-800-640-2123.
